Christopher Lewis Chaney has been arrested and charged in connection with a string of vending machine thefts in Alabama , according to AL.com. Chaney had been under investigation by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and Morgan County Sheriff’s Office (Alabama) after several Coke and Pepsi vending machines had been broken into in those counties.
Authorities say Chaney is suspected of breaking into 21 machines in Cullman County alone.
After putting Chaney under surveillance, detectives learned that he was also traveling to Mississippi and Tennessee to break into vending machines in those states as well.
