Consumer sentiment in the U.S. rose in the month of July to the highest level seen since July 2007, according to Reuters and Yahoo News. The consumer sentiment is based on the Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan's final reading on the overall index on consumer sentiment which rose to 85.1 from 84.1 in June, exceeding expectations of an 84.
