Registration Opens For NAMA’s Executive Development Program

May 20, 2013

NAMA, the national association serving the vending and refreshment services industry, announced that registration is now open for the association’s 13th annual Executive Development Program at Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, Mich. The program, scheduled for Oct. 20 to 24, 2013, is taught by a distinguished group of MSU faculty. Guest speakers with valuable experience from the vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries will also be featured.

“I would recommend this program for any manager,” said Jeff West Jr., vice president of West Dairy, Inc., and a 2012 graduate of the Executive Development Program, in a prepared statement. “The content is relevant to all aspects of our industry. I left the program with a better understanding of management and important leadership skills.”

Dr. Ronald F. Cichy, Ph.D., director of The School of Hospitality Business School at Michigan State, is also a featured instructor for the Executive Development Program and says the program has a proven return on investment for companies.

“We have heard repeatedly from attendees who say the topics were able to help them deliver value for their customers and owners.  If you only can attend one executive program this year, this is the one,” said Cichy.

Joann DeNardis, NAMA’s director education/certification, stressed that while the program is in its 13th year, the curriculum is reviewed regularly to ensure it reflects the changing dynamic of the industry.

“Graduates of the EDP program say it’s an excellent value,” DeNardis said. “They are amazed at how much content is introduced over the course of five days.”

NAMA members are able to secure an early bird rate of $2,975 through June 30. This includes a daily continental breakfast and lunch, along with two dinners and a graduation ceremony at the program’s conclusion. Visit NAMA’s Website to learn more and register.
