After 48 years, Canteen Regional Vice President Bob Mangiafico will retire on April 23, 2012.
Mangiafico joined Canteen in Hartford, Conn., in 1964. He held a variety of positions, beginning as a mechanic and later moving on to route driver. His most recent role with the company is regional vice president for the Carolinas-Virginia Division.
“I’ve been very fortunate to spend the last 17 years working beside Bob,” said Tim Bailey, Canteen division president for Carolinas-Virginia in a prepared statement. “He has taught me much about the industry, business, relationships, and how to manage people. I have never met anyone more dedicated, loyal, with such a great attitude.”
Throughout his career, Mangiafico’s achievements have been recognized, once as a regional director of the year and on several occasions as a Be-A-Star award winner, Canteen’s employee recognition program.
