Editor’s Insight: This hospital spent a lot of time analyzing the nutritional content of the vending selections in coming up with this color coded healthy tagging program. There is no reason that other locations besides the hospital cannot use this program if they don’t already offer a similar program.

There is an opportunity for enterprising vending operators to take advantage of programs like this. Such programs will go a long way in helping a vending operator to protect customers from dedicated healthy vending operations that denigrate the offerings that traditional vending operators provide. 02-07-12
