Sodexo, Inc. has appointed Olivier Poirot as senior vice president and chief financial officer. In his new role, Poirot leads the finance and risk management functions supporting Sodexo's business in North America.
Poirot brings a wealth of experience to this role having joined Sodexo in October 2011 from Accor North America, where he served as chief executive officer for the company's operations in the U.S. Canada and Mexico. As CEO for Accor North America, Poirot oversaw a portfolio that included more than 1,100 Sofitel, Novotel, Studio 6, Motel 6 and Ibis properties. Before assuming the role of CEO in 2007, Poirot served as chief financial officer of Accor North America for four years and was responsible for concluding the company's $1.3 billion sale of Red Roof Inn.
Poirot succeeds Debbie White, who has become CEO for Sodexo UK and Ireland. "We are extremely pleased that Olivier has joined our senior executive team," said George Chavel, president and CEO of Sodexo, Inc. "With his depth of experience from another global, industry-leading, world-class company, he has enabled a seamless transition and is positioned perfectly to provide strong financial leadership during this important time of growth for our company."
Poirot is a graduate of Ecole Superieure de Commerce de La Rochelle where he studied finance and administration.
