Editor’s Insight: The city is adopting some of the school district’s nutrition guidelines, demonstrating the way government entities influence one another. More important to vending operators is that private companies oftentimes follow government agencies in the areas of health and wellness.

While consumers do not buy “better for you” products as much as their traditional favorites, public agencies continue to adopt stricter rules out of the need to reduce obesity.
