Merchants Foodservice, a Hattiesburg, Miss. Foodservice distributor serving the Southeast, announced that John Eichelberger has joined the sales team as director of multi-unit sales for the Atlantic Coast Region which includes North and South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
He has had an extensive career in broadline foodservice distribution starting in street sales in 1984 and was quickly promoted to sales management. He was promoted to vice president of multi unit Sales Sysco Atlanta, Ga. where he developed a diverse multi unit customer base until his retirement in 2011. He has served as a board member of the Mississippi and Georgia Restaurant Association and attended college at Belhaven College in Jackson Miss.
