Sara Lee Corp. has hired Robin Jansen as vice president, investor relations. Jansen will build and oversee the investor relations function for the international coffee and tea business as Sara Lee prepares to separate into two publicly-traded pure-play companies.
Jansen will be located at Sara Lee's Utrecht, Netherlands, office and will report directly to Buster Kennett, chief financial officer, Sara Lee International Beverage and Bakery.
"We're very excited to have Robin bring his extensive investor relations experience to Sara Lee," said Frank van Oers, chief executive officer, Sara Lee international beverage and bakery in a prepared statement. "His expertise will be very valuable as we continue to move closer to forming an independent coffee and tea business."
He joins Sara Lee from Danone, where he served as director, investor relations. Prior to that, he served as investor relations director at baby-food producer Numico and in investor relations-related positions of increasing responsibility at ABN AMRO. In those roles, he helped strengthen the performance of the investor relations function and was recognized for his efforts by numerous professional organizations and publications.
Jansen earned a bachelor's degree in administration from Hotelschool, and a master's in general management from Nyenrode University.
