House Introduces More Generous Research And Development Credit Bill

House Ways and Means Committee member Republican Rep. Brady, joined by lead Democratic cosponsor Rep. Larson, recently introduced H.R. 942, the American Research and Competitiveness Act of 2011. The bill would strengthen the research and development tax credit formula -- The Alternative Simplified Credit, or ASC -- from 14 percent to 20 percent and make the credit permanent.
