State of the Vending Industry returns with added focus on smart markets
It’s that time of year again: when we ask vending, micro market and OCS operators to weigh in on Automatic Merchandiser’s annual State of the Vending and Micro Market Industry report. This year, we’re placing a sharper focus on smart markets and smart retail formats, capturing how operators are deploying these solutions alongside traditional vending and micro markets.

This survey gives operators a chance to anonymously share performance data, technology adoption and operational insights that help benchmark where the industry stands and where it’s headed. We’ll analyze the results to measure overall industry performance in 2025, with findings published in the June/July 2026 issue of Automatic Merchandiser.
