Mike Edgett, director of industry and solution strategy at Infor, urges food and beverage manufacturers to examine millennials' preferences and interests in an article for Manufacturing.net. He wrote that using technology such as cloud-based solutions, product lifecycle management solutions and connected supply chain networks will help manufacturers them be responsive to market trends. Trends he predicts for 2019 include locally produced foods, sustainability and a desire for outstanding, convenient meal kits and ready-to-make entrees. He added that millennials often steer toward organic foods and vegetables.
