Crane Convenience adds AT&T connectivity option to its integrated vending machines
Crane Convenience has added AT&T connectivity as an option for its vending machines equipped with integrated cashless technology.
Crane Convenience’s machines with embedded cashless systems allow operators to process transactions and make remote price changes. Adding the option for AT&T connectivity means operators can choose the network provider that fits their business or provides the best signal when locating machines. The company said the AT&T option is designed to help operators match network coverage to specific locations to support reliable connectivity and maximize machine uptime.
Crane Convenience also said the approach includes the ability to switch subscriber identity module cards, or SIMs, to provide more flexibility when relocating machines or changing network providers.
New machines will ship ready with the capability, and eligible existing machines can be upgraded using an upgrade kit, according to the company.
“Listening to our customers is at the heart of our innovation process,” Matt Volinsky, VPGM at Crane Convenience, CPI, said in a release.
