In a collaboration that demonstrates how smart vending machines can serve as media and engagement hubs rather than simply food and beverage outlets, CoffeeBot Malaysia has partnered with an online gaming platform to link smart coffee vending machines to digital rewards and gaming perks across Malaysia.
The collaboration pairs CoffeeBot Malaysia's vending machine network with OneOne, an online gaming platform from Southeast Asian digital innovation company OneVerse, to connect everyday coffee purchases with online engagement, particularly among commuters and students.
As part of the campaign, OneOne promotional videos are now running on 30 selected CoffeeBot vending machines. The units are placed in high traffic locations, including university campuses and mass rapid transit stations, to display on-screen messaging and real-time offers to thousands of daily users.
Once users scan the QR codes displayed on the CoffeeBot machines, they unlock daily rewards that combine CoffeeBot discounts with gaming benefits from OneOne. According to OneOne, the rewards structure is designed to encourage repeat visits and link offline lifestyle habits, such as daily coffee purchases, to its digital reward ecosystem. CoffeeBot said the partnership allows the vending operator to offer additional value at the point of sale beyond the beverage itself.
CoffeeBot operates a nationwide network of smart coffee vending machines that serve café-style beverages in public and semi-public locations.
