Emerson Lanes, a family-owned bowling center in Parkersburg, W.V., added an arcade game room designed and installed by Betson Enterprises. According to Betson, owners Jerry and Gregg Lorenze wanted to diversify their entertainment offerings and bring something fresh to the Mid-Ohio Valley Region. Mike Springman, a regional sales manager at Beston, helped them create an experience that appeals to both regular bowlers and new guests.
“We’re always looking for unique ways to serve our community,” said Jerry Lorenze. “Adding an arcade has helped us reach people who may not have visited us otherwise.”
The new game room includes Godzilla Kaiju Wars VR (Raw Thrills), Fast & Furious Arcade Motion (Raw Thrills), Hyper Pitch (LAI Games), Wicked Tuna (UNIS), NFS Takedown (Adrenaline), Taj Mahal Mini (Smart), a pinball lineup and an assortment of merchandisers and cranes.
Since the arcade’s opening, Emerson Lanes has seen a steady increase in business, in part due to new entertainment packages and the ability to host new family-friendly events. Jerry Lorenze credits Betson’s service and product selection as key factors in the arcade’s success. “From the layout to the games to the redemption center, everything is eye-catching and has been a wonderful addition.”
