Vending Machine That Dispenses Soap Launched By Startup Soapstand

Aug. 30, 2018

Soapstand, the Vancouver-based company, created a vending machine that dispenses eco-conscious personal care and cleaning products, according to Straight.com. The machine offers products such as shampoo, dish detergent, and Castile soap, and offers reusable aluminum containers for those who need them.

Consumers can bring their own container or buy an aluminum one from the machine and it dispenses the product in about 12 seconds, says their co-founder, Andy Chou. The machine accepts debit and credit payment options. The idea behind the machine is to help customers lower their consumption of single-use plastics and aid in making a long-term sustainable lifestyle more accessible.
