Kearneysville, WV – October 4, 2016. Royal Remanufacturing, LLC, converted its 100,000Thvending machine from a high-energy consuming machine into an ENERGY STAR® certified vending machine through their Envirovend remanufacturing process. The resulting energy savings of the 100,000 vending machines translates to 329 million kwh/year, which is enough to power 30,000 homes annually. This is comparable to providing power to the town of Los Gatos, CA for an entire year. The power savings due to the Envirovend program results in eliminating approximately 700 million pounds of CO2 emissions per year. Since the inception of the Envirovend program in 2010, Royal Remanufacturing’s customers have eliminated over 2 billion pounds of CO2 emissions and have reduced the number of vending machines being disposed into our landfills by over 100,000 units.
The Envirovend program is designed to help Royal’s customers reduce their carbon footprint by decreasing the energy consumption of their machines by approximately two-thirds. The process upgrades the lighting, refrigeration, and electrical systems of the beverage machines, elevating the vendor to ENERGY STAR standards. This means our products have been independently certified to save energy without sacrificing features or functionality.
David Silverblatt, President of Royal Remanufacturing notes that “The 100,000th conversion is a significant milestone for us and our customers. We are proud that our Envirovend program enables our customers to be part of the “green” movement by providing vending machines with reduced greenhouse gas emissions and increased efficiencies”.
