Hero Jerky’s eponymous meat and cheese trail mixes are available in original, peppered and teriyaki flavors. Ingredients in the offerings include cheddar cheese, along with the company’s Original Meat Sticks and Original Beef Strips, as well as some milk. The mixes combined popular meat and cheese flavors in a hardy 4-oz. package.
Hero Jerky was founded to help support American veterans; for each sold bag of jerky mix, the company donates a portion of the proceeds to the Fisher House Foundation, which builds housing for military and veteran families to use temporarily and free of charge while visiting a service member who is in a VA hospital.
