Keurig Dr Pepper names Russ Torres to lead future Global Coffee Co.
Keurig Dr Pepper has named Russ Torres chief executive officer of its planned Global Coffee Co., which is targeted to separate from KDP in early 2027.
Torres will join KDP on November 3 as CEO of its Coffee Operating Unit. Before the separation, he will lead the integration of KDP’s and JDE Peet’s coffee operations, the company said. He will report to KDP CEO Tim Cofer, who is expected to lead Beverage Co. after the separation. Torres will join the future Global Coffee Co.’s board following the separation.
Torres currently serves as president and chief operating officer of Kimberly-Clark, overseeing operations in more than 30 countries. He previously held leadership roles at Newell Brands, Bain & Company and Mondelēz International.
KDP said Global Coffee Co. is expected to generate about $16 billion in annual revenue. Its planned portfolio includes single-serve systems, roast and ground, whole bean, soluble, ready-to-drink and away-from-home formats. Brands include Keurig, Peet’s and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, along with regional brands.
