Keurig launches cold brew system for workplaces and foodservice venues

Office coffee service operators can use the new K-Tap system to offer still and nitro cold brew without nitrogen tanks or complex plumbing.

Keurig Dr Pepper has launched a commercial cold brew and nitro dispenser aimed at foodservice and office coffee service operators. A countertop system, the Keurig K-Tap Nitro & Cold Beverage Dispenser is now commercially available following operator trials and demonstrations.

The dispenser uses flash-chill technology to cool beverages to 35°F. Operators can switch between traditional cold brew and nitro from the dual-tap unit.

For office coffee service providers, the system offers another way to add premium cold beverages to workplace refreshment programs. It can dispense still and nitro cold brew in seconds. Foodservice operators also can use the system to expand cold coffee menus without installing nitrogen tanks or extensive plumbing. Keurig said the unit does not require the consumables associated with traditional nitro systems.

Keurig pairs the system with REVV Coffee Concentrate, which the company describes as having citrus, fig, molasses and chocolate notes.

Why this matters for convenience services operators

Cold coffee demand continues to grow across foodservice channels, particularly among Generation Z and millennial consumers. Keurig Dr Pepper said the K-Tap system is intended to help operators serve that demand across more dayparts and locations.

The launch also reflects a broader expansion of café-style beverages into offices and other unattended or managed refreshment settings. For OCS operators, the system may provide an opportunity to add a higher-value beverage program while keeping preparation and maintenance requirements relatively simple.
