Matthew Smith named president as Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA expands
Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA has promoted Matthew Smith to president, effective immediately. Smith will oversee the implementation of the company’s strategic goals and lead all commercial, operational and organizational priorities across the U.S. business, according to Massimo Zanetti of Beverage USA.
Smith most recently served as senior vice president of sales and marketing, where the company said he helped modernize its commercial organization, strengthen customer partnerships, and drive volume and distribution gains across food service, retail and e-commerce.
In the president’s role, Smith will work closely with CEO Scott Meader. “Matthew has been a transformative force within our organization, solidifying our operations and driving significant gains,” Meader said in the announcement.
Smith brings more than 25 years of sales and commercial leadership experience in beverage and consumer packaged goods. Before joining Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA, he spent more than a decade with Voss Water in roles that included leading North American sales. He also held leadership and commercial roles at RNDC, Frito-Lay and Nestlé Waters, the company said.
Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA is headquartered in Suffolk, Va., where it also operates its main roasting facility. A vertically integrated coffee business that serves the away-from-home and at-home channels, it operates Kauai Coffee.
