President Trump signed an executive order on Thursday that removed the roughly 40% tariffs on Brazilian imports such as coffee and beef, a regulatory shift with potential downstream implications for the OCS channel.
The U.S. had previously imposed the duties in July 2025. With those tariffs now lifted — effective for imports on or after November 13 — U.S. roasters, distributors and OCS operators may see reduced cost pressures on Brazilian-sourced coffee beans.
Brazil supplies roughly one-third of U.S. coffee imports, Reuters reported. The lower import duty may ease supply-chain costs for operators who rely on Brazilian coffee for in-office brewers and micro market offerings.
