Kerry Group is expanding its North American footprint with a new coffee roasting and extraction facility in Bethlehem, Pa. The Ireland-based company plans to invest several million dollars in the operation, creating at least 61 new full-time jobs and strengthening its position in the growing coffee and beverage ingredient market.

The facility, located in Hanover Township, will be dedicated to coffee roasting and extraction, producing ingredients used across food service, coffee and ready-to-drink applications. The site will serve Kerry’s functional beverage offerings, enabling faster delivery and localized production for U.S. partners.

To support the project, Kerry Group will receive $516,880 in state support, including a Pennsylvania First grant and workforce development funding through WEDnetPA, which will help train and onboard new employees. The company will also retain 16 existing positions through the transition.

“With this acquisition, Kerry is enhancing production capabilities and leveraging advanced technologies to meet the rising demand for all-natural coffee ingredients across multiple markets,” said John Cahalane, president and CEO of Kerry North America, in a release.

Kerry’s investment in Pennsylvania builds on the company’s broader strategy to expand sustainable ingredient production and deliver customized solutions for beverage, coffee, and food manufacturers.
