Organic Valley is introducing Organic Valley Oat Beverages this fall, positioning the line as a plant-based option. The new oat drinks — that could appeal to workplaces and micro markets — will debut in two varieties, Original and Creamy. The Original variety is made with three ingredients — organic oats, water and salt — while the Creamy version adds organic MCT oil for a frothier texture, making it a fit for coffee programs and specialty beverages.

The company cited growing consumer demand for “clean” plant-based creamers as one of the drivers for new product development. The beverages are crafted without gums, seed oils or artificial additives. The line can provide operators with a clean-label, nut-free, dairy-free and lactose-free alternative.

At Organic Valley, every new product ties back to supporting family farms and delivering food that consumers can feel good about, said Laurie Drake, vice president of marketing, in a release.
