Personal finance website WalletHub published a study identifying top 50 best coffee cities in America and Portland, OR, ranked No. 1 nationwide. Following Portland, and rounding out the top 10, were San Francisco, Seattle, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Honolulu, Tampa, Miami, San Diego and Boston.
"Some local coffee scenes are stronger than others," wrote WalletHub financial reporter Adam McCann. "To determine the best among them, WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities across 12 key indicators of coffee lover-friendliness. Our data set ranges from coffee shops, coffeehouses and cafés per capita to the average price per pack of coffee. In addition, we compiled a list of top coffee retailers extending special savings in honor of National Coffee Day on Sep. 29."
