Coffee Shift seeks crowdfunding investors

March 15, 2021

Startup Coffee Shift Inc., which uses distributed ledger technology to enable bean growers to sell directly to customers without a middleman, is looking for investors using a crowdfunding campaign.

According to a report in the Silicon Angle, the Wefunder campaign plans to raise $250,000 to help change the current coffee ecosystem, which represents a staggering imbalance set against Colombian bean farmers.

San Jose, CA-based Coffee Shift operates as a direct-to-consumer online coffee subscription service by integrating distributed ledger blockchain technology in order to bypass coffee chain middlemen, a means that can be expensive.

As a result, growers get paid directly for delivering international certified premium Colombian Arabica coffee.
