BURGER KING® Restaurants Launches BK® Café Subscription For Only $5 A Month

March 15, 2019 08:00 AM EDT - MIAMI--()--BURGER KING® restaurants is brewing a coffee deal that can’t be beat. Starting today, BK® app users can sign up for the BK® Café Coffee subscription*. For only $5 per month, guests can enjoy a hot cup of coffee anytime every single day at participating restaurants. Freshly brewed to deliver perfectly balanced flavor in every cup, BK Café Coffee is made with 100% Arabica beans.

Only available by downloading the BK® app, the daily coffee subscription model is a departure from expected coffee service. Use the offers tab on the BK® app to sign up and open the app daily to redeem your small cup of brewed coffee.

Other BK® Café drinks include Iced Coffee and Frappes. BK Café Iced Coffee starts with 100% Arabica beans combined with silky cream and a choice of flavored syrups – Vanilla or Mocha - for a deliciously cool iced coffee experience. BK® Café Frappes are also made with 100% Arabica bean coffee, blended until smooth and creamy with a choice of Mocha or Caramel and topped with fluffy, whipped cream for a deliciously cool frappe experience.

Editor's Insight: This is an interesting way for the quick service restaurant industry to compete with office coffee service and coffee shops. It also promotes the use of the BK app, which gives the company individualized information about each customer. OCS operators might want to consider a similar sales technique (and can do it better since customers won't have to pick up their coffee from "participating restaurants." At the very least, operators will want to watch and see how the BK® Café subscription plays out.
