The event supports the mission of 5 Gyres Institute, a non-profit organization that seeks to engage people in design and policy solutions to end the global health threat of plastic pollution, and is co-hosted by The Island School, Cape Eleuthera Institute, musician Jack Johnson, and All At Once.

Marley Coffee will also be sponsoring a student ambassador from Jamaica to attend and represent the company at the summit, a three-day gathering of activists, artists, scientists, educators and island youth to explore and generate solutions to plastic pollution for island nations around the world. The summit serves to support the 5 Gyres three week S.E.A Change Ocean expedition, which will collect important research on marine plastic pollution while also inspiring leaders in ocean conservation.
