Brazil Unroasted Coffee Bean Exports Rise 17 Percent

The Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council, or CeCafe, reported that Brazil’s exports of unroasted coffee beans in September rose 17 percent from a year ago, according to The Wall Street Journal. The group reports that Brazil exported 2.3 million bags of unroasted beans in September.

Exports rose 16 percent to 19.9 million bags from January to September, from the previous year period. While the volume of coffee increased, the value of its total coffee exports since the start of the year fell 15 percent to $3.9 billion. Full article.
