Tully's Coffee Introduces Hawaiian Blend K-Cup Packs For Retail

Nov. 19, 2012

Tully's Coffee®, a brand within the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (GMCR) family of brands, has launched its newest blend of coffee, Hawaiian Blend. Exhibiting a floral aroma and delicate flavor reminiscent of a tropical paradise, the blend is the latest addition to the wide variety of Keurig Brewed® coffees available in K-Cup® packs for the Keurig® single cup brewing system.

The blend's mix of fine Arabica beans, including Hawaiian coffee, is slow roasted to capture the right flavor. The resulting medium roast boasts hints of sweetness, an attractive aroma and an exceptionally smooth taste.

"Our master roasters have spent the last year working to develop and perfect the deliciously balanced taste of Tully's new Hawaiian Blend," said T.J. Whalen, vice president of marketing and sales, GMCR's specialty coffee business unit, in a prepared statement. "We know Tully's Kona Blend was a beloved favorite of many, but due to low crop yields, it's been discontinued. We wanted to create an equally unique and smooth variety for people to enjoy, and are thrilled with this new offering."

Tully's Hawaiian Blend is available in 24-count K-Cup® packs online at Tullys.com for a suggested retail price of $16.49. Boxes of 80-count K-Cup® packs are currently available at select Costco stores, with availability expanding to more stores by early 2013. The new blend will be available in the continental U.S. at grocery chains, specialty retailers and mass merchandisers in 2013.
