Report Claims U.S. Tea Market Growing; 75 Percent Is Iced And Cold Tea

Sage Group® Networks LLC, a Seattle, Wash.-based based tea industry think-tank and publisher has just released its latest business-to-business (B2B) publication, the “7th Edition Specialty Tea Is ‘Hot’ Report®”, which notes specialty tea is booming in North America and that trade groups estimate more than 75 percent of all tea consumed in North America is iced or cold, according to NewHope360, a digital newsletter for the healthy lifestyle industry. Editor’s Insight: Refreshment service operators need to recognize the rising appreciation of tea among all age groups. During last year’s National Automatic Merchandising Association WaterTea&Coffee event, tea expert Steve Smith gave an excellent presentation on the improved tea preparation techniques and the importance of marketing the benefits of tea.
