Coca-Cola is rolling out Coca-Cola Cherry Float and a nationwide Diet Coke Cherry release starting this month.
Coca-Cola is expanding its cherry-flavored portfolio with the launch of Coca-Cola Cherry Float and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Cherry Float, alongside a nationwide release of Diet Coke Cherry, the company said. The products begin rolling out this month.
Why this matters
- Nostalgia-based new flavors get people to try cold drinks they might otherwise skip.
- Adding zero-sugar options allows operators to offer variety without adding new brands.
- The cherry and float flavors may create new bundling and promotion angles.
Coca-Cola Cherry Float is a new flavor positioned as a float-inspired option, blending Coca-Cola Cherry with smooth, creamy vanilla notes. Coca-Cola said the beverage is designed to deliver the taste of a Cherry Coke float without ice cream or dairy.
Coca-Cola Cherry Float will be sold in full-sugar and zero-sugar varieties in 12-oz cans and 20-oz bottles, according to the company. Packaging uses Coca-Cola’s red branding with cherry-inspired pink and purple gradients, with white script for full-sugar and black script for zero-sugar formats.
Diet Coke Cherry is also returning nationwide in 12-oz cans and 20-oz bottles, with updated packaging that uses standard Diet Coke branding alongside cherry iconography. Coca-Cola said limited retro packaging previously used in select markets will not be part of the national release.
Cherry Coke was the first-ever flavor extension offered by the brand. With the additions, Coca-Cola said its cherry lineup now includes Coca-Cola Cherry, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Cherry, Coca-Cola Cherry Float, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Cherry Float and Diet Coke Cherry.
