In fact, the carbonated soft drink category saw volume fall by 2.7 percent despite a dollar sales growth of 1.5 percent. Meanwhile, dollar sales of energy drinks were up 11.2 percent, the source reports. Bottled water dollar sales also increased by 7 percent while sports drinks posted a 6.5 percent increase in dollar sales.
