5-hour Energy debuts 16-fl.oz. carbonated energy drink

Oct. 7, 2021

Living Essentials LLC has extended its popular 5-hour Energy brand beyond the well-established 2-fl.oz. shots with a carbonated beverage version in a 16-fl.oz can.

The new format made its debut at simultaneous events this week: the National Beer Wholesalers Association convention in Las Vegas, at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) convention in Chicago.

The 16-fl.oz. cans are available in berry, grape and watermelon and will be distributed nationally via independent beverage distributors and other channels.

The 2-oz 5-hour Energy shot, popular in vending, has nearly 90% market share in the category, according to Living Essentials. Shots are available at more than a quarter-million retail locations.
