Dan Welch

World Cup Coffee

.

World Cup Coffee is an OCS based in Portland, Oregon. World Cup began when Don Welch purchased the business in 1985. At that time OCS was all about how cheap you could get Folgers, Yuban & MJB in an office along with can cream & sugar. Don decided to differentiate by offering the best service at a competitive price. Once established we began to improve on the quality of products offered. The Micro-Roaster trend was beginning, and World Cup went along for the ride. To further improve our quality in 1993 we began roasting our own coffee and opened a few retail shops. During Covid we closed our shops and reformulated to offer more pantry service, snacks and micro-markets. Today, Portland is recovering, moving in the right direction and under the leadership of Dan Welch – World Cup is growing again.
