Food And Drug Administration Official Urges Vending Industry To Comment On Proposed Calorie Labeling Rules At National Automatic Merchandising Association OneShow In Chicago

Felicia Billingslea, director of the food labeling and standards staff in the Office of Nutrition, Labeling and Dietary Supplements at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), said she came to the National Automatic Merchandising Association OneShow to explain the agency’s calorie disclosure regulations and to encourage the vending industry to read the proposed rules and give comments. She said FDA wants to know if the calorie disclosure rules are feasible and what options industry members think should be considered.
