Nov. 11, 2013

CDS Vending Inc. announced a new program to provide vending and food services best practices training and counseling to U.S. active duty service members and veterans that are transitioning out of the military.

CDS Vending is launching with this effort the CDS Vending and Food Service Academy which aims to offer America's veterans the opportunity for new careers in the stable, growing vending, food and beverage industry.

“The United States of America's service members are extremely well trained and have the drive, self-discipline and skills that are essential for the food service industry,” said CDS Vending President and CEO, Carl D. Shepard, a U.S. Navy veteran, in a prepared statement.

The CDS Vending and Food Services Academy consists of a four week course designed to prepare U.S. service members and veterans for entrepreneurial and employment opportunities. Veterans obtain knowledge necessary to access and consider a career in the vending, food and beverage industry.
