AVT Develops Vending Machine For Kardashian’s Cosmetics

April 2, 2013

AVT, Inc. announced that it has designed and delivered a new automated retailing system for Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian. The AVT system was developed to provide an automated solution to sell the Kardashian's cosmetic line, and debuted at Cosmoprof Worldwide in Bologna, Italy.

AVT's new touch screen retail vending system was in development for more than 18 months, and is the first system in the beauty and cosmetics category to feature an interface that functions like a life-sized iPad, according to the company. The unique and innovative system allows customers to preview colors, styles and finished looks before purchasing the products.

The Kardashian cosmetics automated store was developed by AVT for the Boldface Group, a licensing company focused on top tier celebrity and designer brands, in partnership with the Kardashians.

"It's been a huge goal of mine and my sisters to launch a beauty and cosmetics line," Kim Kardashian stated on CNBC's "Closing Bell" with Maria Bartiromo. "We were looking for the right partnership and the right time," she added.
