Editor’s Insight: Many vending operators are concerned that the calorie disclosure rule will be cumbersome to meet. However, the Food and Drug Administration has been studying a lot of input that was provided by many parties during the comment period.

Fortunately for the vending industry, the National Automatic Merchandising Association urged the agency to be as flexible as possible with the final rules. Once the final rules are published, the industry will have one year to comply. 02-15-12 By Elliot Maras
