Research Links Nuts To Heart Health

Replacing that daily muffin with a handful or two of nuts may help people with diabetes better control their blood sugar and cholesterol levels, a new study suggests, according to Reuters News.

Editor’s Insight: This is not the first piece of research confirming health benefits associated with nuts. Snack manufacturers could be doing more to tout these health benefits.

The Automatic Merchandiser State of the Vending Industry Report found that sales of nuts and seeds declined in 2010 from the prior year.
