Editor’s Insight: Ever since government officials proposed vending restrictions as a way to address rising childhood obesity, vending operators have pointed out that the youngsters will simply find alternative sources for the products they want. In many schools, vending restrictions have created a “black market” whereby enterprising youngsters sell snacks to their peers.
