Gaye Tankersley Becomes President Of Food Service Inc., Lexington, S.C.

Food Service, Inc., of Lexington, S.C., has named Gaye Tankersley president. Gaye has been a valued part of the company since 1989.

A. Eugene Rountree, founder and chairman, said in a prepared statement: "Gaye has led the company through the most challenging economic times since our company was organized in 1967. She has maintained focus on customer commitments, as well as led new business efforts, all while maintaining financial integrity." Tankersley is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.S. degree in food service and institutional management. She has completed an executive education program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, as well as a number of other workshops and certifications.

She is active in the industry, currently serving on the board of the South Carolina Vending Association, as well as the business community. She is committed to family and faith, actively serving at Gateway Baptist Church in Irmo.

Food Service, Inc. provides full service cafeterias, full-line vending services, professional catering services, personal service line/c-store and office coffee services. Additional services include assistance with décor enhancements, furniture and equipment purchases, design, specifications and space planning associated with the service provided.
