In an unanimous vote, the Charlotte, NC, City Council voted 10-0 to approve an incentive grant for Snyder's-Lance Inc., according to the Charlotte Observer. The Business Investment Grant is worth $631,166 to be used for an existing Charlotte facility expansion that will reportedly add 130 new jobs over the next five years. In addition to adding jobs, the company plans to invest $38 million into the plant and headquarters, cites the source.
Before the vote, it was reported other counties and the state were also offering incentives.
