The European Vending Machine Manufacturers Association (EVMMA) has decided to join the European Vending Association (EVA) and form its official vending machine committee. Many EVMMA members are already members of the EVA. Those who are not currently will shortly be joining EVA.
Paul R. Ballard, chairman of EVMMA, said in a prepared statement: "The incorporation of the European Vending Machine Manufacturers Association (EVMMA) as a new committee of the European Vending Association (EVA) is a significant step that ensures more fluid communication within the industry and more coherent representation. EVMMA itself is over 20 years old and has always met regularly on an informal basis
to discuss legislative, environmental and technical issues as they relate to machine manufacture. A large majority vote to integrate the association into EVA means that, in the future, machine manufacturers will be able to take full advantage of the extensive range of services offered to EVA members."
Arnaud van Amerongen, the EVA's president, commented: "The European Vending Association is delighted and proud to announce that the European Vending Machine Manufacturers Association has decided to collectively join the EVA and form its official vending machine committee. The EVA directly and indirectly represents more than 10.000 vending companies in Europe: vending operators and its suppliers of ingredients, vending machines, cups, payment systems, water treatment systems and supporting companies in software/hardware, telecom, transport etc. An increased representation and coverage of the European Vending Industry will allow the EVA to further improve services offered to its members.
"With EVMMA covering nearly 95 percent of the European vending machine manufacturing Industry, this integration will further enhance the EVA's negotiating scope when discussing legislative matters in Brussels, as well as implementing new technical, energy, and environmental standards."
