The Voortman cookie brand has been named “Official Cookie” of the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo, according to the National Confectioners Association, the expo’s owner.
With this designation, Voortman will have a widespread presence across the show, which draws thousands of confectionery and snack industry professionals.
The Sweets & Snacks Expo will be held in Indianapolis from June 23 to 25, with a special pre-show day on June 22.
Hostess Brands Inc. acquired Voortman Bakery in January 2020. According to Nielsen Consumer data, Voortman is ranked No. 1 in the crème wafers and sugar-free cookie sectors, with distribution mainly in the U.S. and Canada.
Voortman is the first exhibitor to take advantage of the show’s official snack program, NCA said.
