Harvey F. Waite, a former New York state trooper and the husband of U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite, R-Fla., died at his home after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer, according to The St. Petersburg Times in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was 68.

He owned a vending business named Hungry Harv's Vending Corp. in Spring Hill, Fla. and worked as an investigator with the local public defender's office.
