CAVC Opposes SB 1000, Supports Small Business At Legislative Days

June 3, 2014

The California Automatic Vending Council hosted a legislative day at the California State Capitol in Sacramento in early May 2014. Operators, manufacturer representatives and NAMA leaders met with over 21 politicians and, among other things, advocated on the industry's behalf regarding opposition to SB 1000 which, if passed into law, would require a health warning label on sugar sweetened beverages and would require vending operators to place warning labels on their machines within the state of California.
