The Way I See It
Editor's Note

As the world has become more interactive, business owners’ needs change. Trade publishing companies such as Cygnus Business Media, our parent company, bring the tools to better meet a more interactive business environment.

The traditional print magazine still has a place in today’s interactive world. In every issue, Automatic Merchandiser compiles the key developments in a given time period in a magazine that users can read at their leisure when they’re not in front of a computer screen.

The tools of the past have become part of a dynamic communication package that allows business owners to know what they need to know, wherever they are.

Back in 2006, Automatic Merchandiser ran its “Wake Up Vending” series to alert the industry to the need to operate more efficiently and do a better job competing in a more competitive retail landscape and meet the needs of a more demanding consumer.

The automatic merchandising industry continues to serve an important need in consumers’ lives. Every player in the industry must recognize the changes for the industry as a whole to remain relevant.

FAREWELL TO A CO-FOUNDER

This month, we also bid farewell Ben Ginsberg, co-founder of this magazine, who has retired from active duty in the industry’s trade media following 52 years of service.
