Wayne Hood, who sold his vending business, Hood Services Inc. to Downey Vendors in Bell Gardens, Calif. in 2003, recently returned to the industry as a regional manager at Continental Vending Inc. in Anaheim, Calif. Hood is region manager for the Inland Empire region. He worked in real estate after selling his company.

Kahiki Foods Inc. has appointed Don Blumenthal as vice president of its foodservice division. Blumenthal will be responsible for leading foodservice sales and go-to-market initiatives for the restaurant-quality Asian frozen foods company.

» BARRY CALLEBAUT NAMES DAVID JOHNSON PRESIDENT FOR AMERICAS
The board of directors of Barry Callebaut AG appointed David S. Johnson to the position of president and CEO for the Americas and member of the senior management team. Johnson will succeed Massimo Garavaglia, who held this position since September 2006, after having relocated from Europe for a 3-year term. Garavaglia will return to Europe to succeed Onno Bleeker as president for Western Europe.
