The MEI CASHFLOW 12 V battery bill validator operates in sleep mode while not in use and snaps into bill acceptor mode in .5 seconds when a customer inserts a bill. The MEI CASHFLOW 12 V battery validator uses only 60 uA of current while in sleep mode, which greatly extends the battery life. This feature, coupled with a low operational current draw, conserves energy and results in at least a 50 percent longer battery life than its competition.
The device features enclosed sensors which protect it against vandalism attempts and fluid ingress.
